What Is A Clarification?

The Detox Clay Mask

You can choose between white clay and green clay:

2. Green clay is absorbent, cleansing, and purifying. It detoxifies the hair fiber in depth while providing care because it is rich in mineral salts and trace elements.

Clay helps regulate sebum production. This mask is cleansing, and the shampoo afterward is optional. It is also perfect for facial care.

Clay is known to bleed colors, especially henna.

Frequency Of Use

As  soon as you feel the need, there is no time limit between two clarifications. About the recipe, you must obtain a smooth paste (neither liquid nor compact) by mixing the clay with water (or an infusion of plants ). The quantity depends on the length of the hair because the mask is applied from roots to ends (~ 2 to 3 tablespoons for a length a little below the shoulders).

Optional Additions

1. 2 to 3 drops of tea tree essential oil (tea tree), which is purifying, antibacterial, and antifungal and stimulates growth. It is prohibited during the 1st trimester of pregnancy; look carefully at other contraindications before using it.
2. 1 tablespoon of cider vinegar, which is anti-dandruff and will help detangle in addition to making the curls shine!

How To Proceed

1. Make your mask.
2. Moisten all of your hair.
3. Then apply the mask to the scalp while massaging, then to your lengths and ends.
4. Cover your hair with a treatment cap. It will create an ultra-gentle heat, which will optimize the treatment while preventing the clay from drying out.
5. Leave it on for approximately 30 minutes.
6. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
7. You can use a gentle shampoo if you want.
8. Or resume your routine at the conditioner stage.

Detox Shampoo With Baking Soda

Baking soda has an alkaline pH, which will open the hair cuticles, allowing it to be cleaned deeply. This clarifying shampoo is more “stripping”. It should, therefore, be used sparingly so as not to cause the opposite effect and damage the hair fiber. Healthy hair has a natural acidic pH (between 4.5 and 5.5) thanks to sebum and sweat.
